Cable Route Management Systems (CRMS) installation between Bow Road to Barking (PK1) and Dagenham Heathway and Upminster (PK3).

Signalling Migration Areas (SMA) 6 and 7, which runs from Bow Road to Dagenham East and Dagenham East to Upminster Depot, and comprise the installation of approximately 19km of new CRMS. A 52 hour possession was undertaken in June 2018 where more than 1km of buried troughing installation was completed.

CCS have been involved in all possible types installations varying from long stretches of

PFC/anchor posts and varied sizes of cable troughing to Under Track Crossings (UTX) and Over Track Crossings

(OTX) installations. In addition, systems were installed at 11 different station platform sections, which often involved working at heights, while fixing CRMSs around existing assets. Over the course of two years, CCS have been able to assemble gangs most suited to the varying types of installation and in doing have in many cases been able to beat programme and delivery expectations.

Cleshar also made significant contributions in assisting LU’s interface with other stakeholders throughout the project, for example Network Rail. This helped expedite the project’s programme.

Cleshar have on many occurrences been commended for the quality of our installation works and the safety conscious manner in which we carry out our works.

hrough experience, CCS’s site managers and engineers have become experts in providing CRMS design input which has not only negated costs to LUL but without this input the works could not have been delivered in the time that they were.

Cleshar installation teams were awarded 2 Beacon Awards on this project.
